I’m going to have that substantive blog post I promised you by the end of the week, but in the mean time, I wanted to let you know about an upcoming CINformation seminar I’m participating in at the Atlanta Film Festival called “Myth and Storytelling.”
I’ll be talking with filmmaker Kevin Barker (The Family Jams) about using myth successfully as a visual and narrative language to tell stories that are inherently part of the human condition. Barker’s first narrative feature film, Last Kind Words, premieres at the Festival this Saturday, March 24. Here’s the teaser trailer:
Our conversation will take place at the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema on Thursday, March 29 at 10am. We’ll be chatting for around 45 minutes or so, then opening it up for audience questions for the last half hour. You can purchase tickets for $10 each here. Want to invite your friends? Share the Facebook event.
Hope to see you there!
